The Cotswolds is a beautiful part of Southern England (officially an ‘area of outstanding beauty’ in the UK) encompassing amazing countryside and model villages across several counties. It has long been a destination for couples as well as families wishing to escape the rat race for a few days.

The small towns and villages in the region are notable by their appearance, the vast majority of buildings were built from distinctive yellow Cotswold Stone. This construction technique was also used on many of the picture-perfect churches scattered around The Cotswolds.

In addition to the sleepy villages in the area you will also find larger towns such as Cheltenham, Gloucester and Cirencester.  A great day out is to be had between one of these towns and a visit to well known attractions such as Hidcote Manor, Chastleton House ad Sudeley Castle. The Cotswolds Water Park is also worth a visit, which has an astonishing 140 lakes and covers an area of 40 square miles.

The Cotswolds hospitality is everywhere to be seen, and you can be sure of a pleasant stay at one of the many guest houses or hotels in The Cotswolds.
